flydubai has added Egnatia Aviation and Skyborne Airline Academy to its ab initio pilot training programme, which launched in May 2025. Cadets train toward a Multi-Crew Pilot Licence and then join flydubai as first officers. The inaugural intake covers cadets aged 17 to 28 from eight countries: the UAE, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Kenya and the United Kingdom. The programme combines ground school, simulator sessions and flight instruction. Chief executive Ghaith Al Ghaith said the partnership reflects the airline's commitment to investing in the next generation of aviation talent. The article does not give the size of the intake or a graduation timeline.
