Allegiant pilots ratify a two-year deal with steep pay jumps and a new bidding system

Source: Aero Crew News· CrewDesk· 1 Aug 2026
Allegiant Air pilots ratified a two-year bridge agreement with 79.5% approval on a 98.95% turnout, a margin of 970 votes in favor to 250 against. The deal roughly doubles first-year first officer pay by January 2028 compared with 2016 rates and lifts captain hourly pay to $355 by the same date, alongside a five-hour minimum day credit, 100% deadhead pay and increased 401(k) contributions starting in 2027. It also replaces the airline's in-house bidding tool with NavBlue's preferential bidding system, guaranteeing pilots a minimum of 12 days off per bid period, and includes protections for roughly 1,400 pilots as Allegiant integrates with Sun Country Airlines.
