Halldale
PlaneSym, an FAA Part 142 training centre, used its first APATS appearance to launch two offerings: Airbus A320 type-rating training and a new training-management platform called PlaneSym Portal. The Portal consolidates administrative functions — compliance tracking, scheduling and FSTD maintenance — into a single system, aimed at operators currently spread across multiple disconnected tools. President Shawn Mullin framed the pitch around readiness rather than just certification, saying "there is a difference between a pilot who can pass a check ride and a pilot who is ready for the line."
FAA-certified training centre PlaneSym debuted an Airbus A320 type-rating course and a new platform, PlaneSym Portal, that consolidates compliance tracking, scheduling and simulator maintenance into one system. The company argues operators currently juggle too many disconnected tools to manage training data well.
